(PRWEB) January 23, 2003
PALO ALTO, Calif., January 14, 2002 -- Sentius Corporation today announced general availability of RichLink® 4.0, the first enterprise class Dynamic Contextual Linking (DCL) platform. RichLink enables centralized management and distribution of all link, navigation, and reference data for any document or application across an enterprise. RichLink is Web application usability software that significantly increases return on investment from existing Web infrastructure.
RichLink 4.0 is the first truly scalable Dynamic Contextual Linking (DCL) platform that can run in real time, as well as integrate data at any stage of the content lifecycle. RichLink 4.0 integrates easily with Microsoft Internet Information Server, fully supports Oracle 8i and 9i Databases, runs on virtually any application server, and includes a robust XML-based application programming interface to make content integration simple.
"InfoWorld launched RichLink on our site and made our money back in just 45 days. We are now actually making money with the software," said InfoWorld Chief Technology Officer Chad Dickerson. "RichLink's scalability, reliability and ease of implementation made contextualizing InfoWorld content fast and, more importantly, profitable."
"RichLink 4.0 provides standardized control of linking across the enterprise and a central repository of link information that can be accessed by any Web server anywhere," said Sentius CEO Marc Bookman. "This means that content creators can now easily map, tag, and serve their content from a centralized repository and implement changes to a site -- or enable a new site -- immediately."

Custom applications can be developed to manage RichLink content using the RichLink Java APIs and the RichLink XML Application Framework (XAF). XAF uses XML input files to provide instructions to edit and search for annotations, terms, and metadata. Use of these standards provides the greatest possible flexibility for integration with any existing Web application or content management system.

Customers like Apple Computer, Asahi. com, InfoWorld, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Kissei Pharmaceuticals, MedicineNet, @Nifty, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Reuters Health, Sankyo Pharmaceuticals, and Seiko Epson have used RichLink dynamic contextual linking to annotate and link over 5 million documents.
