For 6th consecutive year, DiversityBusiness. com lists Greenville telecommunications company among top 50 minority - or women-owned businesses in North Carolina

LBA Group Inc. again this year is ranked among the top 50 minority-owned businesses in North Carolina, jumping to 13th place in 2010 from 26th a year ago. The rankings are by DiversityBusiness. com, which is the nation's largest organization of minority-owned companies doing business with Fortune 1000 firms, government agencies and universities.

The ranking represents the 6th straight year LBA Group has appeared on the list, an indication of enduring small business success on an international scale.

As a teenager, Behr was attracted to the realm of broadcast engineering. He first hired out his skills before forming his own company in 1963.

Today, LBA Group Inc. is comprised of two divisions: (1) LBA Technology, which manufactures and distributes systems and components for the transmission and control of radio frequency energy for customers such as radio broadcasters, wireless carriers, military organizations, laboratories and health care centers; and (2) Lawrence Behr Associates, which provides radio frequency consulting services to clients in the homeland security, wireless, and mining industries.

LBA Group is multicultural in its heritage - Behr's father was a native of Mexico - and its business outlook is global.
