Yokohama Day...

I went out to Yokohama and stopped by the Horiyoshi III museum to say hello. Horiren was there checking out Horiyoshi's new collection of tebori tools...which were really beautiful....

We decided to get food afterward and ended up in Shinjuku at Zauo, one of my favorites!! The dining area is shaped like a boat, and there's a huge assortment of yumminess swimming around it that you must catch in order to enjoy. While the fishing is fun, watching the Japanese businessmen and old grannies fish is waaaaay more fun. Hours of entertainment. When you catch something the staff claps, sings and asks you if you want your catch raw, grilled or pan fried....Horiren proved quite adept at snagging lobsters!

Pinpoint, On-Demand Drug Delivery with Nanotubes is Now Possible

(Nanowerk News) Researchers from the Martin Research Group at the University of Michigan have demonstrated they can precisely release individual drugs and bioactive molecules at desired points in time by using electrical stimulation of nanotubes.

Honolulu, HI (PRWEB) February 25, 2006

Researchers from the Martin Research Group at the University of Michigan have demonstrated they can precisely release individual drugs and bioactive molecules at desired points in time by using electrical stimulation of nanotubes.

"There are many potential applications of our work" Professor Martin told Nanowerk "since we have demonstrated the ability to precisely control both the spatial and temporal delivery of drugs using the polymer nanotubes. This means the drugs now come out when we want them and where we want them."

Martin's research provides a means for creating low impedance, biologically active polymer coatings, allowing the development of highly biocompatible electrodes that facilitate integration at the electrode - living tissue interface. Apart from precise drug-delivery, the potential biomedical applications of these molecule - eluting, electrically active polymer nanotubes could include highly localized stimulation of neurite outgrowth and guidance for neural tissue regeneration through functionalizing microelectrodes on neural prostheses.

Conducting polymers are of considerable interest for researchers working on biomedical applications. Their response to electrochemical oxidation or reduction can produce a change in conductivity, color, and volume. Martin's group developed a method to prepare conducting-polymer nanotubes that can be used for precisely controlled drug release.

The fabrication process involves electrospinning of a biodegradable polymer, into which a drug has been incorporated, followed by electrochemical deposition of a conducting-polymer around the drug-loaded, electrospun biodegradable polymers. The conducting-polymer nanotubes significantly decrease the impedance and increase the charge capacity of the recording electrode sites on microfabricated neural prosthetic devices. The drugs can be released from the nanotubes in a desired fashion by electrical stimulation of the nanotubes.

A big problem with the implantation of microelectrodes and neural prosthetic devices in the nervous system is associated with tissue injury and inflammation. This results in neuronal loss near electrodes and encapsulation of the device in a high impedance barrier of glia and immune cells, undermining the goal of maintaining long-term communication with neurons. Minimizing the electrode impedance therefore is an important requirement for obtaining highquality signals (high signal-to-noise ratio).

Martin believes that both the biocompatibility and electrical signal transduction capacity of neural prosthetic devices and deep brain stimulators can be greatly enhanced by integration with the technology that they are developing. His studies have shown that PEDOT (the conducting polymer poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene)) can be polymerized around living cells and tissues with little toxicity. This suggests that PEDOT networks can be grown within living tissue, for the purpose of extending electrodes to contact healthy neurons beyond the halo of dead cells and inflammatory tissue that encapsulates chronically implanted neural prosthetics.

A variety of proteins, including Nerve Growth Factor, collagen, laminin, and poly(lysine) can be incorporated into the PEDOT matrix. Protein within the PEDOT is bioactive. It can be recognized by cells in contact with the PEDOT and can be passively or actively released from the polymer matrix.

In their recent work, Martin describes how they prepared drug-loaded PEDOT nanotubes on the surface of a microelectrode. The process starts by electrospinning nanofibers of the biodegradable polymer PLGA (poly(lactide-co-glycolide)) onto the surface of a neural probe followed by electrochemical deposition of conducting polymers around the electrospun nanofibers. In a final step, the fiber templates can be removed or allowed to slowly degrade, providing additional means of controlled delivery of biologically active agents incorporated into the fibers themselves.

The nanotubes deliver their bioactive contents either by passive delivery resulting from controlled degradation of the PLLA/PLGA or other matrix polymer used in the core or by actively actuating the drug-loaded nanotubes with an applied electrical field.

Professor Martin's article, titled "Conducting-Polymer Nanotubes for Controlled Drug Release" was published in the Jan. 25, 2006 online edition of Avanced Materials.

Women Tattoo Crazy - sexy models tattoo

Many of us have tattoos all over his body because there is the presence of a person of various Ken hates tattoos and tattoo design They are like the work and the types crowds and individuals.

Tattoo Schools
There are two schools of thought (excuse the pun), on this subject.

The first - tattooing should only be taught the old fashioned way of doing a long term apprenticeship, with no pay and filled with months of cleaning the shop, being somewhat of a slave to the working artists, and sometimes being treated in a worthless manner. You can get an idea of the process from Miami Ink. I have talked to a couple of local shop owners and not only is this their method of teaching but it usually requires a substantial fee from the apprentice. Eventually, the future artist is allowed to practice the art and progress from there....

The second - and more current approach is to actually attend a school or take a course in this popular art. These range from a quick 2 week course to months in duration. And yes, they are costly also, but the focus is on teaching the art of tattooing and using a hands-on approach. I am more familiar with this method and think it is a straight forward and valuable option to people searching a way to break in to this popular vocation. Unfortunately, some people are of the opinion this way is lame and not a reputable approach.

I believe both approaches are valid and the idea of "tattoo schools" does not deserve the criticism it currently gets. There are a lot of people that have to work for a living and taking a course packed with instruction is their only option

Increased Violence Against International Aid Workers Raises Need for International Health and Life Insurance that Covers Terrorism, Kidnap and Ransom

Increased Violence Against International Aid Workers Raises Need for International Health and Life Insurance that Covers Terrorism, Kidnap and Ransom

Good Neighbor Insurance finds that workers overseas want insurance policies that cover terrorism, kidnap and ransom. While there is no guarantee against violence for international aid workers, careful contingency planning, deployment of crisis response teams and purchase of proper international health and life insurance can and will buffer the extent of damage and loss.

Gilbert, AZ (Vocus) December 30, 2009

Good Neighbor Insurance is following closely the upsurge in violence against international aid workers. Last year was the deadliest year on record for foreign aid workers. Worldwide, 260 humanitarian workers were attacked in 155 serious incidents in 2008, compared with 27 incidents just ten years ago. The fatality rate of 122 aid workers for 2008 exceeds that of UN peacekeepers. Though these acts of terror occurred in 25 countries, Afghanistan, Sudan and Somalia create most of the violence, followed closely by Pakistan, Mozambique, Sri Lanka, and Congo. The violence parallels the desperate conditions of these countries, where the needs are the greatest.

Where the need is greatest, the risk is also great. "Aid workers almost always work and live in crisis situations," says Jeff Gulleson, President of Good Neighbor Insurance that helps insure thousands of short and long term international humanitarian workers and missionaries. "We personally know many who are benefiting from insurance policies that now offer terrorism as well as kidnap and ransom benefits to their international health and travel insurance."

Aid workers can become irresistible targets for kidnapping. Gracia and Martin Burnham, humanitarian workers in the Philippines, experienced the brutality of an extreme Islamic group who abducted and detained them for almost one year in rugged Philippine jungles. "The entire group of fifteen or so captors began to pump their fists in the air as they chorused in unison, Allah akbar! ("Allah is the greatest!"). Instantly we knew who we were dealing with: the dreaded Abu Sayyaf. They were the only ones with the audacity to do something like this," says Gracia.

In her book, In the Presence of My Enemies, Gracia describes her ordeal and the attempts made by the Philippine army to rescue them and one Pilipino nurse. In the last encounter, the Philippine army successfully countered the Islamic group. Unfortunately both Martin and the nurse were killed in the cross fire. Gracia was wounded and had to be evacuated home where she was reunited with her three young children.

Gulleson explains the three levels of crisis these workers face. The first is chronic crisis, a persistent and lasting condition that has developed slowly. The stress on Aid workers is imperceptible at this level, for its effects often go unrecognized. The second level is predictable crisis, a condition that occurs after an observation, scientific reason or experience. Knowing this, Aid workers can be prepared to confront the crisis through careful contingency planning. The third level is sudden crisis, a condition that comes unexpectedly and all at once, such as an act of terrorism. "Though the crisis hits without warning, there are things that Aid workers -- and the organizations that send them -- can do to prepare and protect themselves in cases of non-war related terrorism and kidnapping," says Gulleson.

While there is no guarantee against being a victim of a terrorist attack, Good Neighbor urges careful planning that can mitigate some of the losses.

Insist on Contingency Planning. Every aid worker must have on file contact information and back-up plans with their organization’s international and local headquarters. Possible scenarios are thought of ahead of time, and all aid workers are held responsible to follow through on crisis response procedures.

Gracia admits that though she had contingency planning training prior to leaving for the Philippines, she had not really been paying attention. "Kidnapping was something that happened to other people, not to us."

Consult with Crisis and Emergency Response Teams. Crisis response teams assess the situation, deploy their officers, work with the organization on the ground, and open channels of communication. Maintaining up-to-the minute communication with government officials, liaison officers, and family members is complicated and best done by professionals with experience in this area.

These professionals can be trained members of your own organization, or others whom you contract with. Don’t underestimate the power of your own members to form the first crisis response team. They know the people and are familiar with your policies and what is happening on the ground. Contracting to outsiders is often necessary when government and military officials and ransom demands are involved.

Register with the State Department. All foreign workers should register with the local US embassy or consulate, regardless of how long they plan to be in the country. The State Department offers a page on their website for travelers to register their trip abroad. Their travel section is loaded with vital information on crisis preparedness and protocol for emergency assistance to American citizens abroad.

Insure Aid Workers with International Health, Travel and Life Insurance. Pei Medill, an insurance broker with Good Neighbor, confirmed that insurance companies exclude coverage for war or terrorist incidences related to war. Pei continues, "Despite lack of insurance for war related incidences, nevertheless international aid workers are able to increase protection to themselves and family members through several factors."

First, notify your insurance broker about the nature and duration of your trip. Some insurance plans will cover terrorist related injuries if the act was not precipitated by an act of war. These terrorism benefits (http://gninsurance. com/terrorism) will cover international aid workers for unlimited overseas trips as long as each trip does not exceed 70 days.

Second, add term life insurance. In the event of death, term life insurance relieves the immediate financial burdens of the deceased’s family members.

Third, get international health insurance that covers kidnap and ransom, political evacuation, and repatriation of remains. Also, make sure that the policy covers emergency reunion (when a family or friend is flown to be with the victim), and returning minor children to their home country.

Turning midlife from a time of crisis into a time of transformation, growth and success is the goal. Women around the world have been eliminating the confusion and increasing the positive energy in their personal and professional lives in the one-year program.

Intensity. Questions. Restlessness. Lack of Support. Spiritual hunger. Questions about succeeding or failing at work while still having time for the other important things in life dominate: family and other relationships, health, and some much needed rest and relaxation. This is midlife.

Questions about how to balance one's life, weariness from living the goals of one's family and friends and feelings of frustration, anger, or confusion are persistent. Feelings of having dreams disappear. This is midlife

Goals that seem far away or unreachable, an intense need to change one's life, expand one's personal or professional network, write a book, or start a new business are all symptoms of midlife.

Psychotherapy is not the solution. The solution is Midlife Empowerment Coaching.

A personal trainer at the gym devises -- and helps people stick to -- a plan based on certain performance goals that they have clarified. A professional coach does the same with people at midlife -- mentoring with clear and knowledgeable advice, inspiring to excellence, acting as personal cheerleader, empowering people's goals and action plans. A midlife coach is a personalized support system and resource.

In celebration of the second anniversary of its Midlife Empowerment Coaching progam, coaching and consulting leader L. Barrett Powell International announces it will take on midlife clients outside the USA. The program is for women between ages 37-55.

Pacific Media Sees Growth in Spite of LCD HDTV Slowdown; Demand-Side Analysis Predicted Supply-Side Inventory Glut

Pacific Media Sees Growth in Spite of LCD HDTV Slowdown; Demand-Side Analysis Predicted Supply-Side Inventory Glut

Pacific Media Associates, the global market information experts on large-screen displays, sees positive signs in spite of these problems. Industry focus on supply-side trends have lead to surplus inventories that were predicted by demand-side analysis, but substantial growth is still expected for the flat panel television market.

Menlo Park, CA (PRWEB) July 17, 2006

Recent news reports about production slow-downs in the LCD panel industry have led some to wonder if the sky is falling for the flat panel HDTV market. LG. Philips LCD has announced major losses for the second quarter of 2006 and scaled back plans for new production lines. Manufacturers in Taiwan have announced reduced production and worker furloughs. LCD panel inventories are high, and some fear that prices will fall even further as manufacturers try to empty their warehouses. Pacific Media Associates, the global market information experts on large-screen displays, sees positive signs in spite of these problems.

“The LCD industry is dealing with the results of exuberance that may have been a bit irrational,” according to Pacific Media Associates vice president Rosemary Abowd. “A number of industry sources have been predicting breathtaking annual growth rates. As a result, manufacturers have embarked on an arms race of expanding production capacity. The attitude seems to be that an oversupply is acceptable so long as it is your company’s panels that are being sold.”

For many US households, a television is one of the most expensive purchases made. Most consumers don’t buy a new TV just because new technology is available, no matter how cool it might be. Instead, they wait until the existing set “breaks” (either through failure or unacceptable image quality), or until they remodel their home, or until they move to a new one.

“The semiconductor industry has a long history of ignoring consumer demand, with often-disastrous results,” observed William Coggshall, president of Pacific Media Associates. “Some simple reasonableness checks would have kept the LCD fabs out of trouble. In 2005, only about one in six consumers who bought a new TV paid more than $800, which is about the minimum price for a 32-inch LCD TV set today. The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) estimates that about 32.5 million sets (of all sizes and technologies) were sold in the US during 2005, while PMA estimates that consumers bought about 2.6 million flat panel televisions 30-inches or larger (including both LCD and plasma), plus another 3.0 million rear projection TVs. This total of 5.6 million is 17% of the CEA’s overall total, which means that only about 17% of buyers were willing to spend more than $800 for a new television.

“For 2006, we forecast 4.4 million flat panel TVs 30-inches or larger -- both plasma and LCD -- will be sold. While this is a healthy increase of 69% over our observed 2005 numbers, it is still considerably less than the triple-digit growth forecast by some sources. However, if you add the expected 3.2 million rear projection sets, you get a total of 7.6 million sets in the $800+ range. The CEA's forecast calls for a total of 29.0 million TV sets for 2006, which means that 26% would be have to cost more than $800, up from the 17% for 2005. This seems extremely unlikely, so something has to give. In fact, several factors will likely change substantially -- for the worse — during the remainder of 2006.”

It will still take some extraordinary changes to reach even this conservative estimate. The average price that US consumers are willing to spend on televisions will have to rise even further. This will have to happen in spite of rising energy and interest costs, which feed the growing consumer uncertainty.

LCD TV prices will drop further; the average selling price for a 37-inch LCD display dropped nearly 18% from $2,343 in February 2006 to $1,920 in May 2006 according to Pacific Media’s sell-through tracking of true, transaction-based prices. Now that LCD panel inventories have accumulated, there will certainly be additional downward pressure on prices, even though it means manufacturers will have to sell at less than their production costs.

Prices for plasma and rear projection TVs will also have to drop significantly. We have seen significant price drops for rear projection sets in our June Ad Track report. Plasma prices will likely decrease in order to remain competitive with declining LCD TV prices.

“Even if all these changes occur, it will be a stretch to sell 7.6 million large screen TVs in 2006,” according to Coggshall. “The limiting factor is not supply, but demand. Lower prices have been proven to increase demand, and it’s a question of how far manufacturers are willing to cut prices in order to keep their factories running.”

Original Ozuma Kaname Paintings for sale....

Photobucket

Photobucket

Ozuma Kaname needs no introduction here. A contemporary of Horiyoshi III, Kaname's body of work consist primarily of nude women brandishing stunning wabori - Japanese style tattooing, and images of tattoo iconography. His dragons and Buddhist deities have found their way not only into his impressive tomes but into mainstream Japanese culture as well. His artwork can be found on jigsaw puzzles and postcards. As the tattoo culture on the whole here in Japan is still very taboo, this is quite an impressive feat.

I met Ozuma sensei several years back at one of his gallery shows here in Tokyo. Later I was invited to his studio outside of Tokyo. The small two room apartment was filled floor to ceiling with his art...none of it actually on display, just stacked on shelves and in boxes. He expressed the desire to sell some of it and I offered to help by translating and doing write ups. The information about the pieces below is from the sensei himself...he doesn't remember exactly when these were painted but I got as much relevant info as I could think to ask, fine art not being my area of expertise. Prices were set by Kaname himself and payment will go to him, via bank transfer. I will oversee shipping and can help with any and all details. Please understand that I am aware that these paintings are not cheap, but serious inquires will be considered. These illustrations will only appreciate in value and are truly a piece of Japanese history.

La Fontaine Aesthetics, the Country's First ever 'Fusion' Spa, Opens its Doors

La Fontaine Aesthetics, the Country's First ever 'Fusion' Spa, Opens its Doors

Thai themed sanctuary combines a medical spa, cosmetic dentistry practice, traditional spa elements and a wellness component into one plush Colorado hideaway

Denver, Colo. (PRWEB) March 15, 2006

In a city rich with day spas, something different has finally hit the market. La Fontaine Aesthetics (www. lfafusionspa. com), the country’s first ever “fusion” spa recently opened its doors in Denver’s Cherry Creek North district. La Fontaine brings the science and technology of advanced medical and dental aesthetics together with a relaxing Thai spa and wellness experience. Translation: a one stop shop for non-surgical aesthetics like Botox, Restylane or Sculptra, Cosmetic Dentistry Services, a wellness and nutrition program, and traditional, relaxing spa therapies with a Thai philosophy and theme.

La Fontaine is owned and operated by longtime friends Dr. Ken Oleszek, a board certified physician and the spa’s medical director, and Dr. John Quigley, director and cosmetic dentist. Having a physician and dentist on premises at all times is a huge asset to visitors who want to indulge in a relaxing environment but also want the advanced techniques and results of a medical spa. La Fontaine delivers both safely and effectively by only allowing trained doctors and dentists to administer medical and dental aesthetic services.

“Several years ago, I saw the growing trend in medical and dental aesthetics and thought that it made sense to bring the two together into a spa environment. Then, after visiting Thailand I was completely inspired and wanted to bring the Thai spa traditions and wellness elements into this project. The result was the fusion spa concept,” Dr. John Quigley stated.

“We wanted to set ourselves apart by providing a comfortable environment for sometimes uncomfortable services. So many ‘medi-spas’ seem cold and impersonal. We’ve actually created something that really feels like a spa in the traditional sense but delivers the results of a doctor’s office,” added Dr. Ken Oleszek.

Oleszek is also one of the few Colorado doctors to perform Mesotherapy, an advanced French technique used to reduce the appearance of cellulite. Mesotherapy uses a mixture of vitamins, nutrients and medicines to effectively smooth and tone the skin.

La Fontaine also offers innovative Thai spa therapies that cannot be found anywhere else in the city. La Fontaine’s Sawan (meaning heaven) spa offers treatments complemented by rejuvenating Thai spa traditions. Guests may enjoy one-of-a-kind services like a Green Tea and Wasabi Antioxidant Facial, Thai Herbal Ceremony Massage or Bamboo Lemongrass Body Scrub.

In addition, La Fontaine delivers complete wellness programs to slow the aging process and engage guests in a healthy lifestyle. With a professional nutritionist on staff, La Fontaine can provide guests with nutritional and diet counseling, detoxification programs and signature supplements to promote good health and slow the signs of aging in a natural, holistic way.

The fusion spa offers guests an extremely unique experience – whether they are relaxing in the Zen Lounge or enjoying a Thai massage on the rooftop garden – all right here in Denver. They will also notice a luxurious interior with authentic touches like Laotian rosewood furnishings, antique Indian arches and Thai silk tapestries.

La Fontaine Aesthetics, which is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 Am to 6 PM, is elevating the Colorado spa scene to a new level with its completely innovative concept and unparalleled level of credibility.

About La Fontaine Aesthetics

Step off the elevator into the penthouse suite of La Fontaine Aesthetics and it is clear that this is no ordinary ‘medi-spa.’ As the nation’s only fusion spa, La Fontaine is a secluded sanctuary that combines medical aesthetics, cosmetic dentistry, spa services and wellness and nutrition into one. Owned and operated by board certified doctors and dentists, The Thai themed spa brings the pursuit of beauty to an entirely new level. For more information, please visit www. lfafusionspa. com.

TruStar Solutions, the leader in creating exceptional hiring strategies, has partnered with Resume Mirror, the premier supplier of resume extraction and searching software components. The partnership will allow TruStar Solutions to include Resume Mirror's technology in the development of world-class customized recruiting solutions.

Resume Mirror develops component technologies that make online resume submission more effective for both the candidate and recruiter. Their resume parsing technology transforms volumes of incoming candidate data into structured database-ready records for efficient handling. On the candidate side, the speed and accuracy of resume upload to a career site is faster, easier, and more accurate than with other available technologies.

With Resume Mirror's conceptual search technology, EngeniumHR, users can quickly input words, phrases, job descriptions, and even full resumes as "search strings". Now, recruiters or hiring managers using EngeniumHR's enhanced applications can simply cut and paste their search requirements into a text search field and produce a succinct, ranked short list of candidates within a fraction of a second. This simplified approach allows recruiters and hiring managers to spend less time building complex search strings to search resume databases and more time speaking with and placing candidates.

"Our technologies speed the online candidate application process, improve data capture, and significantly reduce candidate drop-off rates," said Praj Patel, General Manager, Resume Mirror, Inc. "We believe Trustar's focus on the recruiting solutions marketplace will allow them to provide significant leverage and value to those organizations with installed HRMS applications."

Through this partnership, TruStar Solutions' clients will be able to purchase Resume Mirror's best in class technology as a piece of their overall recruiting strategy. Clients can integrate Resume Mirror with candidate management systems provided by PeopleFilter or choose to increase the functionality of their own systems by adding a stand alone version. This potential for increased efficiency showcases TruStar Solutions' dedication to providing the newest and most effective recruitment services available.

"We constantly search for tools, services, and new practices to bring our clients more comprehensive recruiting solutions," said Mike Bryan, Director of Product Strategy for TruStar Solutions. ISO/IEC 27001 Certification Awarded to NCQA, an Organization Dedicated to Improving Health Care

ISO/IEC 27001 Certification Awarded to NCQA, an Organization Dedicated to Improving Health Care

Consult2Comply’s Expert Understanding of the Regulatory Guidelines Helped Keep Business Objectives in Line With the Certification Process and Risk Assessment in Perspective.

Reston, VA (PRWEB) October 25, 2010

Consult2Comply, a premier regulatory compliance software and services provider announced today that NCQA, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality, successfully earned an ISO 27001 certification as a result of their partnership and business compliance services.

Steve Crutchley, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Consult2Comply stated that “NCQA began their certification initiative in order to position themselves as leaders in information security for the healthcare industry. This organization is dedicated to healthcare plans, systems and their patients and they have an unprecedented level of commitment to the quality of healthcare being delivered as well as to the integrity and confidentiality of their data. Meeting the standards of ISO 27001 was at the core of how they wanted to do business and understanding what approach was necessary to get things under control was imperative. Naturally they wanted to protect ‘everything’ and didn’t know how to sort it all out”.

NCQA’s accreditation effort was led by Rick Moore who holds two titles; Chief Information Officer and Chief Information Security Officer. He said “Steve Crutchley is an expert who showed us exactly how to approach this certification and who understood how to keep our business objectives in line with the process. He helped us understand the ISO guidelines and explained and interpreted the standard in a way that helped us hone in on what was really important and to assess our greatest areas of risk. He brought understanding to our executive team by showing us that not every part of the standard applies to every business need, which allowed us to build an appropriate framework in record time. We were able to balance our business approach and create a well defined process that will help us grow”.

Rick went on to say, “Even with trained information security professionals on board, we weren’t clear on how to approach something as daunting and without Consult2Comply we would still be struggling. They provided the insight and the tools that helped us do all the heavy lifting, shortened the process and saved us a whole lot of time, money and frustration. Our audit resulted in zero non-conformities so we now know that management would have been left guessing that we got it right without this valuable help. Consult2Comply has given us the understanding and the tools necessary to go forward and enabled us to embed a program into our culture that will always be a part of the fabric of how we do business”.

Consult2Comply is a premiere GRC firm that provides compliance infrastructure management services, and compliance software and mapping solutions that support international regulatory standards and best practices for commercial and government enterprises. C2C's web-based, automated compliance platform is designed for improved business performance and audit readiness across the entire organization. Consult2Comply's blended approach of Managed Compliance Services™ -- software plus services as a compliance solution – and Compliance Infrastructure Management™ helps organizations align existing compliance infrastructure with the ever changing regulatory environment. Over 25 years in auditing and consulting in information security and asset management inspired the creation of C2C’s compliance, risk and audit management tools as well as their practical, business-focused approach.

The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations and recognizes clinicians and practices in key areas of performance. NCQA is committed to providing health care quality information for consumers, purchasers, health care providers and researchers.

ISO 27001 is an international standard for IT Service Management. ISO/IEC 27001 requires that management systematically examine the organization's information security risks, taking account of the threats, vulnerabilities and impacts, design and implement a coherent and comprehensive suite of information security controls and/or other forms of risk treatment (such as risk avoidance or risk transfer) to address those risks that are deemed unacceptable and to adopt an overarching management process to ensure that the information security controls continue to meet the organization's information security needs on an ongoing basis.
