Bio-Form Essentials Validates Health Breakthrough—ALPHA-FIBE Smarter Fiber Supplement Promotes Safe, Healthy Weight Loss, Lower Blood Cholesterol Levels

Bio-Form Essentials, the original brand to offer the Alpha-Fibe smarter fiber supplement worldwide, validates that using Alpha-Fibe offers the majority of individuals who want to improve their overall health a wide range of potential benefits including weight management, blood pressure control and cholesterol control.

New Jersey, USA (PRWEB) March 22, 2010

Bio-Form Essentials, the original brand to offer the Alpha-Fibe smarter fiber supplement worldwide, validates that using Alpha-Fibe offers the majority of individuals who want to improve their overall health a wide range of potential benefits including weight management, blood pressure control and cholesterol control.

Alpha-Fibe uses a smarter soluble fiber that significantly reduces absorption of dietary fat. For example, six tablets a day will reduce absorption from 2,000 calories/day to 1,500. This reduces approximately 25-30 percent of calories from an American diet containing a normal amount of fat, which can lead to a safe and healthy weight loss of about 1-1½ pounds per week.

How it Works

Alpha-Fibe uses a naturally occurring, soluble fiber--alpha-dextrin--which actively binds with and removes bad fats and cholesterol from a meal. Scientific research shows this stable complex passes through the digestive tract, eliminating fat calories before the body absorbs it. Unlike using some similar weight loss pharmaceuticals, use of this fiber produces no undesirable side effects since the unabsorbed fat remains bound as it passes through the digestive tract.

Recently Completed Human Clinical Study

The recently completed human clinical study, conducted at the University of California, Davis, involves overweight, but not obese non-diabetic individuals. This investigation intended to confirm the effects of Alpha-Fibe on weight management and blood lipid levels, implicated in the development and pathogenesis of numerous disease states--including type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Twenty-nine healthy adults (age: 43.9+/-13.3 yrs, 8 males) with a stable body weight in the previous month participated in this study. The mean BMI was 27.1 +/-2.1kg/m2 at the beginning of this double-blind, one-month crossover study.

The study data showed significantly more weight loss with those using the active tablets compared to those using the placebo tablets. Unlike any other studied weight loss product, the participants did not follow a low fat or low calorie diet. Levels of blood cholesterol, LDL (bad) cholesterol, and the atherogenic Apolipoprotein B levels showed significant reduction using the active tablets while HDL (good) cholesterol levels remained unchanged. Participants with high triglyceride levels reduced their blood cholesterol levels more than twice as much compared to participants with normal triglyceride levels. In addition, the higher the cholesterol levels, the greater the cholesterol reduction when using the active tablets. Using the active tablets showed significant reduction of blood insulin levels compared to those using the placebo tablets, which suggests a reduced risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

Healthy Benefits

Scientists previously published substantial data from previous double-blind clinical trials with obese diabetic volunteers as well as numerous animal studies. The most recent research and prior, published scientific data suggest that:

Alpha-Fibe use as directed, effectively reduces and/or maintains body weight.  Alpha-Fibe use as directed, binds and remove nine times its own weight in dietary fat.  Alpha-Fibe use as directed, lowers both triglyceride and LDL (bad) cholesterol levels in those patients with elevated triglyceride levels.  Alpha-Fibe use as directed, by increasing adiponectin levels in the blood, may delay the need for insulin in type 2 diabetics.  The US Government’s National Institutes of Health study showed that alpha-dextrin, Alpha-Fibe’s active ingredient works as a smarter fiber by preferentially binding the “bad” saturated and trans fats over the “good” unsaturated dietary fats (Omega-6s and Omega-3s).

The FDA designated the active ingredient in Alpha-Fibe, alpha-dextrin as “Generally Recognized As Safe” (GRAS). The World Health Organization has given it an allowable daily intake of "not specified," suggesting that there is no unsafe level. The United States EPA established an exemption for the need to designate any maximum permissible level of use in foods.

MarketingExperiments. com Will Host Web Clinic on How Marketer Intuition Often Fails to Identify Best Copy and Design

Marketing intuition can be wrong when it comes to which words and designs will perform best in emails, advertisements and on Web sites.

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) December 17, 2005

Marketers interested in improving Web site and email performance can attend MarketingExperiments. com’s upcoming free Web Clinic on the effectiveness of marketing intuition, Wednesday December 21 at 4:00 p. m. EST.

The clinic will show how MarketingExperiments. com (MEC) test results suggest that despite experience and intuition, marketers can be mistaken in determining which subject lines, Web page designs or headlines would perform best in emails, advertisements and on Web sites.

“Intuition may be a key skill for marketers when they are looking for the next big idea," said Nick Usborne, a senior analyst at MEC. "But relying on intuition or past experience to determine the exact text and design on a web page or email is a great deal less reliable. Unless marketers are willing to test their practices, they could be losing a significant amount of money."

Those interested in attending the conference can sign up at www. marketingexperiments. com.

MarketingExperiments. com, an online research laboratory, has been named one of 2005’s best online marketing sites by KnowThis. com and is dedicated to discovering “what really works” in Internet marketing. Japanese Character Tattoos | TATTOOS FOR MEN

Japanese Character Tattoos
Say you want Japanese symbols characters for tattoos that you want to be printed on your body. I mean, how else can you hide the fact that you had your ex-lover's name inked on your wrist but still not seem like a demented and stalker ex boyfriend, right? Or more so, how else can you have your mother's name printed on you is a "cooler" more hip way?

Thing is, the danger in having Japanese style tattoos is that since you have no idea how the language goes, you are not assured on how the characters should be. I mean, the odds of choosing a symbol that you fancy that may mean something positive but you end up getting it printed on you inverted are very high as that is one horror story I have heard about Japanese character tats.
Japanese Character Tattoos
Another boo-boo that may occur is that you use an online translation site that converts a word for you to Japanese. Anything free online is usually BS so it is highly likely as well that your translation could go wrong.

And if you do go to a Japanese restaurant and ask a waiter to translate things for you, he may not be able to understand what you really mean and give you a translation so far off, you wish you'd just stuck with the online translator.

Japanese Tattooing | TATTOOS FOR MEN

'Nine Tattooed Dragon
Beautiful japanese Tattoos
As we know one of the places where tattooing is heavily practiced as a beautiful art form and with the greatest skills level is Japan. Interestingly, the practice of labeling criminals using tattoos was also practiced in many other countries, notable in neighboring areas as we collectively known as China today. Members of outcast groups were also marked with stigmatizing tattoos.

One of the most popular outlaw characters in the novel is Shishin or the 'Nine Tattooed Dragon' who bore extensive full-body tattoos. Soon Japanese from all social levels started to tattoo ornate designs (irezumi) on their bodies that depict heroic figures, gods, mythical creatures and other traditional and popular images. Presently in modern day Japan the art of tattooing is still slightly stigmatized though it remains a highly regarded art form.

Japanese Sleeve Tattoos | TATTOOS FOR MEN

Japanese Sleeve Tattoos - The Coolest Japanese Tattoo Designs For Men

Often guys get skulls, flames and sexy pinup girls as a sleeve tattoo design. However, recently there has been more and more men interested in Japanese sleeve tattoos. This is great because the Japanese have a long history of full body tattoos and therefore they are very advanced in their sleeve tattoos. These designs are cool and they make a great tattoo design for men also. Here are some ideas to help you get started on your own full sleeve tattoo design.

Koi Fish

Koi fish are an ever popular theme for sleeve tattoo designs. The beautiful oranges of the koi fish and the blue water background lend themselves to the perfect tattoo design for a sleeve. By wrapping the fish around the front of the arm the fish looks dimensional and really pops out and comes to life. Thus it makes a cool looking tattoo with a lot of life. However, more then that the Koi tattoo represent strength, power and individuality. It represents the struggle of going through life and striving to be better. You see the Japanese myth is that the koi fish try to swim upstream. Not all of them make it but the ones that make it to the golden bridge become dragons and fly off into the sky. Dragons
Of course there is always the dragon. This is only second to the koi fish because dragons have been so common place. However, a powerful fierce dragon in red or black makes for the ideal tattoo design for men. It looks rough and tumble and ready to throw down or just breathe fire on a person. The dragon is a very mystical and mythical beast that is filled with all kinds of magic and great lore. The symbolism is of course of power and strength.

Samurai

Samurai and gods are always very popular in traditional Japanese sleeve tattoos. These designs of course feature either fierce samurai in the heat of battle of gods fighting off evil spirits. Either way you end up with a way cool dude tattoo. What can be more guy then a man swinging a huge katana sword and slaying a dragon or a demon. The reason the Samurai is so popular in Japanese tattooing and traditional arts is that the samurai is seen to embed everything that is important to the Japanese male. The samurai carries the Japanese culture as well as being a strong and fierce warrior in battle yet is always mindful and follows the code of bushido. This is what every Japanese male wants to be deep down.

Hannya Masks

The Hannya mask was originally used in Kabuki plays in Tokyo. However, the masks were such beautiful yet haunting piece of artwork that they became stand alone pieces of art. Many Japanese would collect and display them in their house and they believe it would ward off evil spirits. The Hannya masked represents a scorned women that has been overcome by her rage that she has turned into an evil demon. These are also very popular in traditional Japanese tattoos and tattoo in the West. It is hard to make a full sleeve of one mask but it can easily be combined with other Japanese designs and symbols.

Chinese and Japanese Tribal Dragon Tattoos | TATTOOS FOR MEN

Chinese Tribal Dragon Tattoo
Dragon tattoos are one of the most popular designs all over the world. Dragon tattoos come in two popular forms: the Chinese or Japanese dragon of the east with its long, snake-like body and the European dragon of the west with its powerful wings and long neck. The European dragon usually symbolizes power and fear, a depiction of evil where as the Chinese dragon usually symbolizes unity and conformity, a depiction of good.

You can find many different designs of dragon tattoos in different forms and colors. Most often, the eastern dragons are the ones being used as a basis for the designs for the tribal dragon tattoos. Japanese dragons have only three claws where as the Chinese dragons have five. Though, some in today's society, eastern dragons that are being created into tribal dragon tattoos is being depicted as a symbol of fear and power; a contrast to the real symbolism of the eastern dragons.

A new program airs every month.

"We are pleased to offer EPEC Radio, hosted by Rae Pica, to our website visitors," said Glenna DeJong, EPEC vice president of educational programs. "Rae and her distinguished guests bring valuable information to parents and educators of children 0-8 years of age related to physical education, movement and play."

"As a children's physical activity specialist, I have worked hard to promote lifelong physical activity, and creating an awareness of the importance of physical activity is certainly a goal of 'Body, Mind and Child,'" said Rae Pica, co-founder of the BAM Radio Network. "I'm pleased, therefore, to partner with EPEC and to be able to offer its online community an additional resource."

About EPEC

In the early 1990s, Michigan was identified as having one of the highest rates of preventable chronic disease among the 50 states. It became clear to the governor and the director of public health that increasing activity among Michigan citizens was an urgent public health priority. As a result, the Michigan Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports was founded in 1992 through an executive order of the governor to improve the health of, and increase physical activity among, Michigan residents. The Michigan Fitness Foundation was created in 1994 as a public charity nonprofit foundation to expedite Council policies and provide a funding base for Council programs and projects. The Council was charged with establishing a model physical education program. The result is Michigan's Exemplary Physical Education Curriculum (EPEC) project, a public-health initiative established as a long-term investment in the health of the citizens of Michigan. The mission of the EPEC team is to develop, test and disseminate materials and procedures that enable schools to achieve the public-health goal of promoting lifelong physical activity.

The Exemplary Physical Education Curriculum (EPEC) is a standards-based curriculum that promotes the teaching of knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enable children to be active for life. EPEC is currently being used by thousands of teachers not only in Michigan, but across the country, to strengthen physical education, and its reputation, in their communities.

EPEC was recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in 2002 for Excellence in Prevention Research and Research Translation in Chronic Disease.

A third channel for directors and administrators was soon developed, which became the catalyst for the Education 360 Channel, which expanded the team of program hosts to include diverse voices and insights from the leading advocates in the fields of child development and education. The network is a joint venture between privately held New Hampshire-based Moving & Learning and Los Angeles-based Jackstreet Media Ventures LLC. The programming is produced by Emmy-winning broadcaster Errol Smith and distributed through the Affiliate Nanocasting Network.

theEnergyCrowd. com, a project orientated, crowd-sourced based website for engineers and developers who are working on a range of practical renewable energy solutions has been launched today by Steinkrug. The first theEnergyCrowd project is a passive solar energy based system that will reduce domestic energy bills.

As Peter Kruger, managing director of Steinkrug, points out: "In the months leading up to the current financial crisis the world experienced shortages of energy and raw materials and these problems will return when the global economy recovers. We feel now is a good time to stop merely reporting on the renewable energy market and start doing something practical."

TheEnergyCrowd will also be the home to articles from Steinkrug's CarbonFree Weekly News, which will be structured around the CarbonFree report "101 Ways To Kick The Carbon Habit". Members of theEnergyCrowd will be able to download this and other reports free of charge. Kruger explains: "Feedback from subscribers to the CarbonFree newsletter tells us that a number of people are attempting to address the problem of sustainability by developing and deploying renewable energy solutions using their own scientific and engineering skills."

The broad aim of the theEnergyCrowd's first project is to reduce the cost of heating an existing house using technology that captures and stores energy from a sustainable source. This project will have three distinct phases:

-- First a wall-mounted passive solar energy capture system will be used to convert sunlight into heat during winter months. This phase is already well advanced and the equipment will be ready to test during the next few weeks.

-- The second phase will involve short-term storage of heat energy, enabling solar energy collected and converted in the late afternoon to be used during the early evening.

-- The third phase will employ technology that supports the seasonal storage of heat energy, capturing heat during the summer then storing it for retrieval during the autumn and early winter months.

Ultimately a set of simple, low cost, technologies will be productized so that they can be incorporated into existing homes, in some cases by householders themselves.

Like other technologies developed by theEnergyCrowd, the design of the passive solar energy capture and storage system will be made available via a General Public License (GPL) - similar to the one that covers the use of Linux within the high technology sector.

Commenting on the launch of theEnergyCrowd, Kruger says: "While many engineers are angry that problems within the finance sector have started to impact on other parts of the economy, including the renewable energy sector, it is important that they direct their energy towards developing technologies that will support a truly sustainable economic recovery."

Engineers, developers and others interested in sustainable energy technology can join the energy crowd free of charge at http://www. theenergycrowd. com (http://www. theenergycrowd. com).
